The short version
Dean offers three connected things to small businesses. Coaching helps you understand and use AI in the business you already run. Consultancy assesses your priorities, tools, constraints and which decisions need a person's approval. Installation builds, connects, tests and hands over a workflow you have agreed. Which one fits depends on your business, and they can be used together or separately. His own website describes the installed service as done for you, not handed over. If you want the details in his words, they are at ai-agent.deankeating.com and deankeating.com.
Why he appears on this directory
This site lists 63 other businesses in 14 categories, counted on 10 October 2026. The biggest groups are restaurants (13), cafes (7), shops (7), pubs and bars (6) and hairdressers and barbers (6). Dean is the 64th entry because he publishes the site and also runs the service in these guides. That is a conflict of interest, so his listing is labelled as the publisher's own and he is not placed in any ranking. Note, 11 October 2026: the public category pages now list restaurants (14), cafes (8) and shops (9), including secondary-category listings.
What installed agents can do
The jobs his website lists are below. What is possible for your business depends on your tools, the access you can give and the permissions that apply to each channel.
- replying promptly to new enquiries, including out of hours, within rules you agree
- following up people who have already got in touch, to a timing and a cap you agree, stopping when they opt out, say no, book, finish or a person takes over
- preparing quotes and chasing the ones nobody answered
- booking jobs into the diary, only against availability the agent can genuinely see and under confirmation rules you set
- answering common questions across email, web and WhatsApp
- sorting and routing messages, and sending updates, confirmations and reminders
- passing a conversation to a person when it needs one
- preparing invoices and payment reminders, while anything that moves money needs a person's approval
- copying details from one system to another
- sending a weekly report
An agent cannot guarantee that it spots every urgent message or that a person replies in time. Anyone with an urgent problem should use the direct urgent route and not wait for an automated reply.
How an engagement runs
His website describes four steps: a free call, an audit of the work worth automating, the build and install, then training and support. The free call is a discussion about how your business runs, what you need and what the options are. He starts with the single task that would make the most difference rather than trying to automate everything at once.
What this work costs depends on the agreed scope, and accounts for installation, the running costs of any tools and support. If you go ahead, the deliverables, format, which tools and access are feasible, costs, and what training and support cover are agreed before paid work starts. Ongoing support, including any retainer, is discussed based on what you need.
What his website says about him
His website says he is a Shopify 10K Award winner, has more than ten years in marketing, and has driven more than a million orders through Meta ads. It also says he spent five years as a professional stand-up comedian before moving into marketing. These are his own claims, and this directory has not verified them. He also builds websites for trades and small businesses and does SEO, which is covered on deankeating.com.
Where he is, and what that means for you
Dean works from Horndean, Hampshire, north of Portsmouth. Delivery is remote anywhere in the UK, so a business on the High Street or in Blackfen is treated the same way as one down the road from him. There is no Sidcup office. In-person visits are only possible in Hampshire and the immediate surrounding area, by agreement, and are not assured anywhere else. If you want someone in the room, say so on the first call and look at providers who are based in this part of south-east London as well.
